New office strengthens R&D capabilities and supports global growth
HANOI, Vietnam, February 10, 2026 – Zhone Technologies, Inc. (“Zhone” or the “Company”) today announced the opening of its new Research and Development (R&D) Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, further expanding the Company’s global engineering footprint and strengthening its ability to deliver innovative broadband access and cloud software solutions worldwide.
The new Zhone Technologies Vietnam office is located on the 20th floor of the IDMC My Dinh Building, 15 Pham Hung St., Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi, Vietnam. The 5,500-square-foot facility includes a large, dedicated laboratory for research, development, and quality assurance, a WiFi test room, and two employee relaxation areas designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and productivity.
The Hanoi R&D Center will support Zhone’s software and hardware development efforts, as well as quality assurance and testing. The site will focus on advancing key technologies including Optical Line Terminals (OLT), Optical Network Terminals (ONT)/Wi-Fi Gateways, optical transport products, and Zhone’s Xtreme Cloud software management platform, enhanced with artificial intelligence capabilities.
Zhone plans to staff the new office with approximately 25 employees at launch, with plans to grow to 50 employees by the second quarter of 2026.
